Job overview

At Ysgol Rhosnesni we are looking for an experienced Network & Digital Technologies candidate who must have good communication skills, be able to prioritise tasks and have a logical and analytical approach to problem solving.  

The successful candidate will manage, develop and oversee the delivery of our whole school IT support strategy, and will provide vital operational support to ensure that IT is used to its full potential in the pursuit and delivery of excellent teaching and learning for our students and within our administration infrastructure. 

You will be responsible for the management, maintenance and security of the school network and all IT hardware, peripherals and software including new hardware installation and configuration along with managing the school website and HWB+ and supporting the whole school ICT learning facilities.  The successful candidate will ideally  have: 

• An understanding of the HWB learning platform

• Experience of providing IT support, ideally in an educational environment;

 • Knowledge of Microsoft products including Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows 7/10,   Active Directory, Mobile Device Management (preferably Apple and Air Watch, Classroom management Software, Antivirus, Office365; 

• Knowledge of Apps for Education; 

• The ability to plan for major IT developments and manage their implementation; 

• Knowledge and experience in managing a website  

• Experience of managing a wireless network 

• Desirable – to understand Apple Technology to support the use of ipads and the installation of equipment.
