Millfield School is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join the busy IT Services department as part of the Networking Team. You will be key in maintaining the school’s IT infrastructure which supports approximately 2,000 users including Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) users across two sites. Experience of a virtualised server environment, Windows Servers, backup solutions such as Veeam, enterprise Wi-Fi, Print Management, networking switching and firewall management are desirable. Experience of Office 365, Mobile Device Management solutions and web filtering/monitoring solutions would be advantageous.
The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm or 8.30am-4.30pm on a rota basis. In addition, you may be required to work occasional weekends to provide network cover for key school events.
Millfield is the largest co-educational boarding school in the UK with over 1,200 pupils, aged 13-18. The pupil body is comprised of 75% full boarders and 25% day pupils. Located in Street in Somerset, the school is set in 150 acres of beautiful campus with outstanding facilities including an Olympic sized pool, two gymnasiums, a golf course, equestrian centre, concert hall, theatre, art gallery and music centre.
