Tes is seeking an enthusiastic Newly Qualified Teacher of Art to join a 'Good' rated school in Kent from September 2020.

The Art Department is a busy and cohesive department who work together to achieve the best for students and they are looking for an exceptional member of staff to play an active role in raising the profile of the department. The successful candidate will be a creative and dynamic teacher who will be able to contribute to the development of the department and help drive forward the schools agenda of continuous improvement.

"As an NQT, you will benefit from mentor support both in your department and from elsewhere in the school; a reduced timetable in the first year; your own classroom and a bespoke training programme that meets your needs as an individual. In further years, you will have the opportunity to access further study in the form of Masters programmes and/or National College training programmes, plus tailored career stage development in school."

What the School Can Offer an NQT:

  • Minimum starting salary £26,041 for all NQTs
  • Lump sum retention payment available upon successful completion of the NQT year for all candidates that sign up prior to 5th April 2020: amount is £1,000 to £5,000 depending on your agreed length of guaranteed service

  • The option to commence employment in July 2020
