OASIS ACADEMY BRISLINGTON, BRISTOL

NQT TEACHER OF SCIENCE

Salary

Full Time

An opportunity to join our dedicated and passionate Science Team in one of the largest secondary schools in Bristol.

Oasis Academy Brislington is full of opportunity and potential!  Our philosophy is simple: “Excellence as Standard” in all that we do.  The Academy is housed in an impressive £34.6 million PFI funded building which opened in 2008.  The state-of-the-art facilities offer a modern, flexible, technology-rich environment for teaching and learning making it one of the very best equipped schools in the country.  The Academy is currently being led by Matt Butler, Executive Principal and Peter Knight, Interim Principal, who are securing firm foundations for the school to grow and develop a bright future.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate NQT Teacher of Science who will deliver exciting and innovative Science lessons that will capture the imagination of all of the students they teach.  We want our students to be intrigued, to ask questions, to wrestle with concepts and most of all to love Science inspired by your teaching.  You may be a chemist, a biologist or a physicist but most importantly you will be able to engage young learners.

Our Science laboratories are well equipped and teachers are supported by a dedicated team of technicians who have excellent subject knowledge.

We work hard to invest in the potential of new entrants to the profession.  NQT’s are very well supported in the Academy with weekly meetings focused on teaching and learning which are both vibrant and stimulating.  Through your individual professional mentor, you will receive high quality individual support and challenge to ensure that your teaching career gets off to the very best start.

Oasis Academy Brislington is part of the Oasis Community Learning family, a multi-academy sponsor with the express purpose of transforming schools into community hubs, through applying a holistic view of education.
