Richmond International is advantageously positioned in a location that offers the best of its surroundings with plentiful transport links. It is within 30-minutes of the city (and airport) of Barcelona, situated between the beautiful seaside town of Sitges and the small city of Vilanova i la Geltru.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced nursery assistant to join our Early Years team. Our existing departments consist of a small number of friendly, enthusiastic and hard-working teammates.

The main duties and responsibilities will include:

-working as a member of a team to provide at all times a safe, caring, stimulating environment for the children, in line with The Early Years Foundation Stage

-providing and participating in a wide variety of activities for the children that is suitable to their individual stages of development

-helping to ensure that child records, such as learning diaries/next steps and individual folders are kept up to date

-building warm relationships with the parents in order to reduce the division between home and school for the child; being approachable to discuss parent concerns

-helping to ensure the provision of high quality environment that meets the needs of individual children

-helping to ensure the maintenance of adequate standards of cleanliness and hygiene for the children attending the nursery, including changing nappies and toilet training, cleansing of equipment etc and spaces as required

-following the school's health and safety and child protection policies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children

-accompanying small groups of children on regular local outings

-assisting the children during snack-, lunch-, and playtimes

-respecting the confidentiality of all information received

-carrying out any other duties requested by the Manager, Deputy Manager or Lead Teacher, as may reasonably be expected from a Nursery Practitioner

This is a physically demanding job which requires an adequate level of mobility. If there are any facts which will impede on this you should inform the school during the interview procedure.

Since we are a British curriculum school, there are a number of factors that are essential. As such, we can only consider applications from candidates who:

• have relevant qualifications and experience in-role;

• have an existing permit to reside and work in Spain - or be an EU passport holder;

• are in possession of an up-to-date Police Clearance;
