We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Learning Assistant to work effectively as part of an effective EYFS Team to ensure that our pupils get off to the best possible start.

The Woodvale Primary Academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), is situated in Northampton and caters for pupils from Nursery to Year 6. The academy, led by the Principal Janet Pallister, wants to ensure pupils have the very best opportunities to achieve the best outcomes possible. Since the Academy opened in February 2013, the staff have worked hard to set high expectations for pupils’ work and behaviour. This was reflected in their Ofsted inspection in October 2014, where the Academy received Good in all areas.

As a successful candidate you be joining the Nursery team where staff help children’s learning through play. You will also help plan engagement and ensure consistent levels of provision as well as providing support to the Teacher across a range of child centred activities to promote child development and learning.

We require a skilled, experienced and committed Nursery Learning Assistant who:

  • is able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching skills
  • has previous experience of working in a EYFS setting or with working with Nursery aged children
  • is well organised and has high expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • possesses excellent communication skills, at all levels

Please note that this role is required to work in term time only; this is reflected in the pro rata salary.
