Overview

Little Grange is a brand new Nursery facility, opening in August 2022, for children aged 6 months – 5 years, in the grounds of Bilton Grange and forming a part of the Rugby Schools group. This is a unique and exciting opportunity, for an outstanding, experienced and well qualified individual to be involved, from the outset, in the design and planning of every aspect of the Nursery, and then to take on the responsibility of managing the Nursery and its staff on a day to day basis.

Job Summary: To be responsible for the leadership and management of Little Grange Nursery (LGN) providing an outstanding year round provision for children 6 months – 5 years of age. The Nursery Manager will also be responsible for planning and running the Holiday Club provision for the Nest and Reception children at Bilton Grange.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The successful candidate will ideally be an experienced Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager ready for the next step, and will be qualified to minimum NVQ Level 3, but ideally degree level in Child Care and Education:

  • We expect to appoint a person of great energy, enthusiasm, ambition and vision who:
  • Has an in-depth knowledge of Early Years pedagogy and best practice and the ability to use this knowledge to determine the aims, ethos and curriculum for LGN.
  • Possesses an in-depth knowledge of EYFS requirements and a proven track record in successful inspection.
  • Possesses strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Understands and espouses best child protection practice and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Will promote fairness and equality of opportunity amongst the children and believes passionately that all children should be valued equally.
