We are seeking a full time permanent Nursery Nurse for a Reception Class.

We are also seeking a temporary (1 year) Nursery Nurse for a school Nursery class.

36 hours x 45.6 weeks (term-time only)

Salary Scale 4 pt 7-11 £22,377-£24,030 (ACTUAL pro rata salary £19,570-£21,015) 

George Mitchell is an All-Through (3-16) multicultural school, with a Nursery. We are proud of our place at the heart of our local community and this is an exciting time for us, as we have just moved into our new build as part of the Priority Schools Building Programme. We were judged a Good school by OFSTED in January 2016 and you will be joining us at an important point in our journey towards becoming an Outstanding school.

We are looking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic individuals with school experience and appropriate qualifications Nursery Nurse who is:

  • Be kind, energetic and enthusiastic
  • Have a sound knowledge of using the EYFS curriculum and be able to use it for planning and assessment (Nursery and Reception)
  • Interact carefully with children to extend their learning through play. 
  • Use the EYFS curriculum to write observations and link those to different areas of learning.
  • Experience of working in Reception is preferred.

The post is term time only, 36 hours a week (45.6 weeks).  Attendance at INSET Days and CPD sessions is required (5 days equivalence).
