About Morningside Primary School

Morningside Primary School is a two form entry school in the north east of the London borough of Hackney.

There are more than 400 pupils who come from many different backgrounds and faith groups, and many languages are spoken within the community. Morningside is a popular school and has generally full classes in every year group. The school is situated within a vibrant and diverse community and provides learning opportunities for the whole community. Morningside has a Children’s Centre that offers an extensive programme of extended services to the local community.

At Morningside Primary School we believe that children should be encouraged to have respect for themselves, for others and for their school. We acknowledge that each and every person who joins the school community has a personal part to play and that their talents must be nurtured, valued and celebrated. By listening with care to the views and opinions of one another we know we can develop and support each member of the community to be the best that they can be.

Morningside is more than just a school, it is part of the community and as such we need more than just a Headteacher. You will need a strong vision, a good understanding of learning and teaching and people skills to inspire staff, parents and pupils. Good communication skills are essential to help develop the school’s reputation in the local community.
