Hours: 37 hours, 5 days per week (40 weeks per year), term time only.
Tiger Cubs Day Nursery are looking for a Nursery Nurse Apprentice, the successful applicant will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual with the ability to use their own initiative. You will complete either Level Two or Level Three qualification in Childcare.
The main duties of the role include:
- Ensuring the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment.
- Working in partnership with parents and also fellow colleagues.
- Maintaining child development and observation records.
- Following and implementing all policies and procedures set out by the nursery.
- Ensuring the key person approach is fully instilled in every day practice.

Applicants will need to demonstrate some recent experience in a child care setting which can be referenced and able to demonstrate their knowledge of the developmental and learning needs of young children. You will also need to be a positive role-model to colleagues, students and visitors to the nursery.

Additional Detail
As of 1st April 2022, the NMW for Apprentices is £4.81 per hour. This applies to 16 – 18 year old Apprentices. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
