Hourly Rate: £12.00 - £12.51

The College has its own onsite nursery in the Arts Centre building. This purpose-built facility opened in September 2019. It is Ofsted registered. It was inspected in September 2022 and was judged as ‘Good’. (You can read the report here: (https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/16/2542001).

The nursery is primarily for students, with a small number of places available for staff of the college.The main purpose of the role is work as part of the long-standing nursery team, supporting students to attend their study programme, whilst their children received high-quality childcare close-by.The successful candidate must hold a relevant qualification and have sound knowledge and understanding of child development. Recent experience of working in an early years environment is essential. The post holder must have the ability to demonstrate an understanding of Safeguarding and commitment to College policies and procedures, particularly equality and diversity. This role also requires some flexibility around outside of normal working hours, such as staff meetings or training, during open evenings and exam and enrolment periods.

Opened in 1992 after being formed from a number of colleges in the city we now have 5 locations situated in the heart of Liverpool. Currently the college serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool, and educates almost 12,000 learners a year. In 2018 the college achieved a pass rate of 99.6% beating the national average of 97.6% for a-level results. Within this year as well we had a 100% pass rate in modern languages.

However, the college itself is not just facts and figures. The mission statement of provide high quality skills and education by delivering opportunities for growth to all people and business of the Liverpool City region, shows inclusivity and a community understanding. The ease in which to get here helps quite a lot to. Be it driving, buses, trains or even a ferry you are never short of options. 

Being that working/living in Liverpool does offer a wide range of experiences to have. Historical buildings like the Bombed out church, Royal court theatre house or even a hidden gem like the Bluecoat School lane which boasts being the oldest building in Liverpool. The Beatles museum is a popular place to explore the band and possible find bits out about them you might not have known. Or if just unwinding and relaxing there are multiple pubs/bars, restaurants, and comedy nights to enjoy.
