Job overview

We are seeking an ambitious, creative, energetic Nursery Room Leader ready for challenge and keen to expand their own horizons. Pupil centred and dedicated to their craft they will be someone keen to make a difference and to go above and beyond for the school and its pupils. We are naturally interested to see their experience but even keener to hear where they are heading and how we can support them to get there. We are always keen to discover what inspires pupils and to allow their needs to shape our school and we feel very much the same about exceptional staff.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

Level 3 in Children’s Care Learning & Development (or equivalent) - Essential

Levels 4 -6 in Children’s Care Learning & Development (or equivalent) - Desirable

Evidence of further relevant and substantial professional development - Desirable

Paediatric First Aid - Essential


Professional Experience:

Experience of being a Nursery Room Leader/Manager - Desirable

An inspirational Nursery Room Leader - Essential

Experience of being involved in the life of a busy independent school - Desirable

Awareness of safeguarding issues, current legislation and good practice - Essential

Awareness of current curriculum developments - Essential

Ability to work in a team, establish strong supportive relationships, inspire and motivate others - Essential

Ability to analyse data and use this to inform curriculum and improvement plans - Desirable

Understanding of successful strategies for meeting the needs of all pupils - Essential


Personal Attributes:

Enthusiasm, drive and a real passion for early years - Essential

Hunger for new challenges and an open mind - Essential

Flexibility, adaptability, creativity and ability to work under pressure - Essential

Terms and Benefits

Start Date: 1st September 2022

Full time position (term time only plus 4 weeks i.e. 38 weeks)
