We are a culturally diverse, inclusive Nursery School and Children’s Centre within the heart of Bermondsey.  We pride ourselves on the support we offer all children including those with additional and complex needs. Our recent OFSTED report commented ‘Staff are very well trained to provide excellent support for children with complex needs. Consequently, all children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities flourish at the school from the time they arrive’.

Kintore Way uses ‘In the Moment Planning’ the Anna Ephgrave way of supporting children’s learning and utilising teachable moments. We use natural resources that are accessed independently by the children in provision that is continuously free flow allowing children to have long periods of time playing without interruptions. This enables deep level learning to happen which is supported by the adults in the moment.

Kintore Way Nursery School was judged as outstanding by Ofsted in May 2017.

‘Staff work tirelessly to ensure that all groups of children are suitably challenged in their learning. Staff encourage all children to deepen their understanding. They set ambitious tasks and ask demanding questions, particularly stretching the most able children.’

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people. We conduct value based interviews. The successful candidate must demonstrate that they are fully committed to our safeguarding policies and procedures.  Pre-employment checks and references will be sought and successful candidates will need to undertake a DBS check.

Candidates are strongly encouraged to visit the Nursery School by prior appointment with the Deputy Head Teacher as we consider this an important part of the recruitment procedure.
