Working Pattern: 

Monday to Friday, All Year Round  

Hours: 35 per week, Flexible between 8am & 6pm. 

 When team member cover is not required, general hours are 9-5pm, including one hour for lunch 

Salary: Grade 5 SCP 12-15 £25,719 - £27126 

Required: ASAP 

Annual Leave entitlement to be taken during term time and periods of school closure

We are a busy, vibrant 100 place nursery in the heart of Northfields. We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant. This role is unique and varied requiring a flexible approach to your working day as you may be covering team members across the nursery classes at short notice. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, excellent, experienced minimum Level 2 Early Years qualified practitioner to join the team as a Nursery Teaching Assistant, does this sound like you? 


Essential  

  • Full and relevant minimum Level 2 qualification in early years or equivalent  
  • Exceptional knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum 
  • Experience in phonics teaching  
  • Knowledge/experience of intervention programmes 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  
  • Proven record of accomplishment of improving pupil’s outcomes  
  • Experience of supporting nursery age children with special educational needs and/or medical needs 

Can you? 

  • work as part of a team  
  • support all pupils and pupils 1-1 and in groups  
  • follow direction from class teacher’s/nursery manager and early years practitioner  
  • follow differentiated planning, specialist programmes, and individual plans  
  • build and maintain effective relationships with pupils and staff
