Little Reddings is a two-form entry primary school with nursery. We serve an ever-diversifying community in Bushey. We are part of the Bushey St James Academy Trust with Bushey Meads secondary school. We have families attending our school both from the local community and from further afield and draw children from a wide spectrum of social and economic backgrounds including social housing, a traveller site, Forces families and private housing. 

The staff, Governors and children are all extremely friendly and supportive.  The school offers great opportunities for staff development and is on an exciting journey towards excellence.

This post is for candidates with a positive, nurturing approach to children. The successful candidate will have:

• A proven record of excellent classroom practice with the ability to stay calm under pressure

• A sense of humour, enthusiasm and the ability to work as part of a team

We are looking for a candidate to work 15 - 20 hours per week in the mornings, term-time only. The salary for this post is APT & C Points 1 – 3 plus London Fringe (currently £17,842pa - £18,562pa + £898pa), paid pro-rata for the hours worked, and is dependent on qualifications and experience. The actual pro-rata salary range based on 20 hours a week is £8,007pa - £8,330pa + £403pa. In the first instance this is a fixed term post until 31st August 2022.  

Applicants should be educated to post 16 level or above and have a high degree of common sense. Experience of working with children and the willingness to undertake suitable training is essential.

Heavily subsidised childcare at our Little Gems Nursery is offered as a package within Bushey St James Trust, plus free gym membership and an Employee Assistance Programme for support on personal matters.
