NVQ ASSESSOR IN GAS & PLUMBING
Salary: £23,754 - £25,959 per annum
Hours:  Flexible - Up to 37 per week, 52 weeks per year
Fixed Term for One Year

As a NVQ Assessor in Gas & Plumbing you will be responsible for the training, assessment and support of a caseload of learners undertaking NVQs in Plumbing and Gas, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of such NVQs. It is therefore expected that you are highly motivated, work well in a team and are interested in supporting students and assessors to reach their desired goal. In addition you will also have responsibility for the internal verification of the qualifications.

Your experience of the industry will provide learners with support in the workplace, enabling them to realise their career potential.  You should be well organised and confident working independently or within a team. You must be able to demonstrate your ability to successfully carry out assessment activities within the workplace in plumbing.

You will have an occupational background within the building services sector and ideally already hold an A1 Assessors and V1 Verifiers award or equivalent. It would be advantageous to have experience in assessing and verifying candidates on these awards in plumbing a well as evidence of continuous professional updates and development within the industry. Experience in assessing units on solar panels would also be an advantage. It would be desirable to hold a teaching qualification such as Preparation for the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS).
