Sedbergh School is one of England’s leading independent schools, located in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park and on the boarder of the Lake District National Park. The Senior School is located in the Dales town of Sedbergh and the Preparatory School is in the village of Casterton, near Kirkby Lonsdale.

Applications are invited for a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Oboe to join the busy and thriving Music Department at Sedbergh Preparatory School as a Visiting Music Teacher. One or two lessons are anticipated in September, with the expectation that demand will grow. We have a number of instruments which can be made available to pupils.

The successful applicant will be highly qualified and experienced, with the ability to teach pupils of all ages and abilities. He/she will have experience in working with young musicians and with beginners.  A flexible attitude is key.

Both the Senior and Preparatory Schools have thriving music departments with a wealth of instrumental and vocal ensembles. Music is an important part of Sedbergh School life and the Prep School enjoys a busy performance schedule which includes 25-30 concerts, services and productions each year.
