At Talocher School we are proud of our reputation for delivering quality education with positive outcomes for students aged 7 to 19 who have experienced difficulties in their previous education placements.

We currently have a vacancy for an Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team, which may suit someone experienced in a special needs environment or newly qualified and interested in this extremely rewarding area of work.

The working hours are 37.5 hours per week and term time only, you will provide support across the whole of our school.

Working hours will be used flexibly to provide support to all of our students and to assist teaching staff with appropriate Occupational Therapy strategies.

This role will involve:

The management of referred students using evidence based and person-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which will provide the students with the confidence, skills and coping strategies required for life beyond Talocher School and independent living.

Knowledge of sensory needs is desirable.
