The purpose of the Lead Occupational Therapy role is to guide and lead the occupational therapy (OT) team at Bridge College to ensure delivery of high-quality occupational therapy to students. This will take place through person centred assessment of therapeutic and equipment needs of students and provision of regular relevant training to the teaching and support staff team. 


About you

We’re looking for a proactive and supportive team lead who

• Qualification in Occupational Therapy

• Current registration with the Health Professionals Council 

• Experience of working with young people and/or adults with complex needs including learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Conditions

• Extensive experience of working in a multidisciplinary manner

• Knowledge of current theories and models of practice appropriate to OT and this role

• Knowledge of relevant assessment and outcome measures in use in daily practice

• Knowledge of clinical governance

• Knowledge of learning disabilities and associated conditions

• Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Conditions including Asperger’s Syndrome

• Excellent communication skills
