Aspris College North Wales is seeking to appoint a self employed Occupational Therapist to join their team.  This is an exciting new role and will be discussed in the interview.

Key responsibilities

  • Undertaking all aspects of Occupational Therapy clinical duties within the designated provision to young people
  • Carrying out assessments of students with diverse presentations to identify needs
  • Designing and delivering individualised intervention programmes based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and interventions
  • Report writing, attending and facilitating multi-professional reviews
  • Working collaboratively with others to promote the wellbeing and best interests of the young people and the effectiveness of the service in achieving its aims and objectives, ensuring a high quality service provision in line with best practice guidelines and internal policies and procedures.

Key skills

  • Recognised Occupational Therapist degree and evidence of relevant post-qualification CPD
  • HCPC registration
  • Relevant post-registration experience working with young people
  • Good knowledge of relevant standardised assessments, evaluation and evidence based therapeutic interventions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Aspris College North Wales is a specialist further education college for learners aged 16-25 with Autistic Spectrum Condition and a range of associated conditions.  Priory College North Wales works in partnership with Coleg Cambria to deliver mainstream education with tailored support in education, independence and communication skills.

We also offer bespoke tailored programmes for students including therapies.

Aspris College North Wales is an independent specialist day college, providing support and care for young people aged 16 to 25 years with Asperger Syndrome, autistic spectrum conditions and associated conditions. The college works in partnership with mainstream colleges and is adjacent to Coleg Cambria in Wrexham, an outstanding tertiary college renowned for delivering excellence in further and higher education.
