We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and adaptable part-time Office Administrator to work under the guidance of our School Office Manager. You will be required to liaise closely with a number of internal and external stakeholders to provide high quality reception and administrative support as an integral member of the School Office Team. 

The post holder will be expected to be flexible in approach and outlook at all times and be able to communicate well with students, staff and visitors.

The range of duties involved will vary from day to day reflecting the busy and varied life of a secondary school and will include two morning shifts on the school’s busy front reception desk. The post holder will be responsible to the Office Manager for assisting in the provision of a high quality administration support service.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral

• Good organisation skills – able to prioritise workload

• Possess the ability to identify  needs quickly and deal with queries

• Understand that reliability, tact, diplomacy, confidentiality, and sensitivity are paramount to this post

• Be able to work independently but also as part of a team

• Have a flexible approach to working and a good team player

Experience of working within a school setting is desired but not essential as full training will be given. Excellent IT skills, ability to prioritise tasks and using own initiative are equally important.

This post is Maternity Cover for one year or until the post holder returns from maternity leave, whichever is sooner.

The vacancy is for 25 hours per week Monday – Friday 8:30-13:30

Court Fields School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary academy based in Wellington, Somerset. There are approximately 758 students at the school between the ages of 11-16.

Court Fields School became a sponsored academy in 2014. It is sponsored by The Castle Partnership Trust, who also support The Castle School in Taunton and Wellesley Park Primary School in Wellington.

Court Fields School converted to an academy in January 2014 and is part of The Castle Partnership Trust. We teach nearly 800 students aged 11-16 at our campus in the Somerset town of Wellington.
