We are looking to appoint an Office Lead Administrator, who will work at Great Coates Primary Academy to lead the front office and provide a warm welcome to all visitors whilst overseeing the general administrative duties of the team.

The successful candidate will be pivotal to the successful running of the academy front office. Applicants will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, excellent administration and IT skills and be able to prioritise workload. We need someone who is a fantastic team player and who also understands the importance of professionalism and confidentiality. This is a varied role which would suit someone who has recent experience in an administrative position and good knowledge of standard school office procedures and systems.

The post holder will:

  • Be responsible for administrative support including filing, word processing, reprographics and data input;
  • Assist in the compilation of reports and records and assessment of data as may be required by the academy, governors, Local Authority or DfE;
  • Assist in the compilation, maintenance, analysis and checks of registers;
  • Assist the school Attendance Officer with all statutory requirements;
  • Maintain and manage student records including new starters and leavers;
  • Input data onto computerised systems as required, e.g. ScholarPack;
  • Answer telephone calls and deal with messages, queries and enquiries;
  • Greet all visitors to the academy and ensure that their purpose is efficiently dealt with;
  • Ensure that all messages are recorded and distributed to the appropriate person.
