The Role
Are you looking for a new challenge? We are seeking to recruit a professional, reliable and versatile Office Manager whose role is to provide (and lead on the development of) an efficient, effective and confidential administrative service within Elm Academy.
This role will include: overseeing the daily administration of the academy office including line managing, training and developing the administration team, being responsible for all administrative, admissions and organisational processes within the academy, being responsible for recruitment and payroll and sickness absence administration, keeping personnel records up to date and providing assistance to the principal and the academy's leadership team.
In order to be successful in this role you will:
- Be enthusiastic, motivated, focused, professional, personable and resilient
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have an ability to organise and prioritise your work, working to deadlines
- Be competent in the use of Microsoft packages Word and Excel and Management Information Systems (for example, Arbor, SAMPeople). Minute taking experience is desirable but training can be provided.
- Be able to work successfully with a range of people, including the wider school community
- Promote the vision and values of Authentic Education at all times

Elm Academy is a 480 PAN - pupil school which is currently two form entry. Elm joined Ambitions Academy Trust in 2017 and educates Boys and Girls aged between 4 and 11. We have a Nursery onsite called Little Ambers for children aged between 3 and 5.
It is our aim that pupils leave Elm Academy as literate, numerate, confident young people with high aspirations, independent learning skills and a sense of moral responsibility and an appetite for future learning.
