About Katherines Primary Academy

On behalf of the staff and children, welcome to Katherines Primary Academy and Nursery.

We are a thriving Foundation School in a small estate in Harlow and a school that the staff, children and myself are incredibly proud of. We see every single day as a possibility not to be missed as a learning opportunity for everyone.

Every child’s learning and development is as individual as they are and we work extremely hard to encourage and nurture every single one of our pupils to “Be all they can be”. Our children leave Katherines Primary as well rounded, confident and accomplished young people who are a credit to our school and ready for their next stage of education in their respective secondary schools.

If you have any queries or require any information please call our school office and we will be delighted to help you.

The school has opened its doors to the local OAP residents with a coffee and questions morning, with further events scheduled. During World Book Day parents and carers were encouraged to make book bags with their child and take a story home to share. The Easter Bonnet Parade even saw a glimmer of sunshine on another wise gloomy day for parents. Parents have been invited into school with the launch of Come and explore how Katherines... teaches maths, this has been extremely well received by parents. Katherines Primary Academy intends to open their doors once a term for parents to explore different aspects of the school. The local community has also had a clear up with Year Four pupils litter picking on Earth Day. Charity is still at the heart of Katherines, three classes this term have held a charity theme day with raffles and sales held after school.
