Job overview

Gesher is recruiting for a School Office Manager who will be responsible for providing administrative support for a school. They play a crucial role in the day-to-day life of a school by providing a wide range of administrative support to keep the school office running smoothly and efficiently.  The Office would be expected to undertake jobs that stretch far beyond their original job spec. As workloads build up, they are required to be flexible but also relaxed and able to work under pressure as well as being able to juggle many projects. A sense of calm and a sense of humour will go a long way to working through tricky moments in the job.  The office manager needs to have an ‘all hands-on deck’ mentality, mucking in on every aspect of school life. The children’s learning should be at the centre of every decision they make, even if some of those decisions ultimately have to be made with the head and not the heart.

The right candidate will need

● excellent spoken and written communication skills

● methodical and well-organised

● able to work accurately and pay attention to detail

● confidence with figures

● good ICT skills

● able to relate well with pupils, teachers and parents

● able to prioritise work

● sensitivity and understanding

● to be flexible and open to change

● to be thorough and pay attention to detail
