Monday to Friday • Term time plus four weeks (including INSET) 42 weeks

(working weeks negotiable for the right candidate, minimum 40 weeks)

We are looking for an applicant who can lead and manage the administration department within the school.

Your main duties will include but not limited to:

  • Organising and coordinating office operations and procedures in order to ensure the smooth running of the administration function of the school;
  • Supervision of office staff and assigning work in the absence of team members;
  • Supporting the Year 6 Transition process with other members of the admin team;
  • Annual planning, proofing and coordination of bespoke school exercise books;
  • Secretarial support for the Assistant and Associate Assistant Headteachers.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a busy office environment;
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within a school;
  • Empathy with children and parents;
  • A positive attitude;
  • Excellent attention to detail, whilst working at a fast pace;
  • Good computer skills including knowledge of Office 365 and SIMS;
  • First aid training (desirable).

Previous experience of secondary school employment would be helpful but is not essential as we will provide all the necessary training to help you to be successful. Evidence of good administration and leadership skills will be required. The successful candidate needs to be hardworking, dedicated to ensuring students of all abilities can succeed and, crucially, committed to being a great role model for future success.
