Values and vision
South Shore Academy is a strongly inclusive school that believes that all students can achieve well and have something to contribute to the school and wider community. It is committed to meeting the needs of all pupils, whether by providing extra support for learning or by adding additional challenges for higher ability students.
South Shore Academy offers a broad and personalised curriculum which, aside from promoting academic learning, is designed to develop the social skills of co-operation, independence and resilience. Beyond the classroom, the secondary school offers an extensive programme of enrichment.
Respect and responsibility lie at the heart of the school’s ethos. Pupils are expected to work with determination, aim to be the best in everything they do, never give up, and behave as part of the same family, “sticking together no matter what”.
