The role

West Midlands Education and Skills is an Independent School based in Walsall providing education to young people from ages 9 up to 25 from across the West Midlands, Staffordshire and neighbouring counties.

As part of your role, you will be required to travel to and from learning venues or our learners’ homes to meet their individual needs.

  • As a one-to-one educational tutor you will be inspiring our students, delivering an engaging and effective tailored curriculum based around the students interests and needs and providing our students with support in building social skills and confidence. You must have resilience and a positive attitude to make learning fun yet professional.

The key objectives are to:

  • Teach - bring our vision of INTEGRITY to life, by tailoring your teaching approach to your learner(s).
  • Inspire– build strong relationships and inspire your learners to reach their potential.
  • Demonstrate Progress– support learners to recognise progress towards their goals and develop their reflective skills.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils and young people. We have a robust Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, and all staff will receive training relevant to their role at induction and throughout employment at the school. Referees will be asked to disclose any Child Protection allegations or issues of a similar nature for all successful job applicants. All staff will undertake Enhanced DBS Checks and others safeguarding checks that apply.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday 8-4pm
  • This is not a term time only school.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Walsall, WS2 8HN: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
  • You will be open to travelling to learning venues, and/or learners’ homes to meet their individual needs. These could be venues within the West Midlands, Staffordshire and neighbouring counties.
