One-to-One Maths Tutor

We are a 11-16 academy based in the market town of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, on the eastern edge of the Erewash Valley which separates Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. We became part of the Outwood Family of Schools in 2022 and are yet to be inspected by Ofsted.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational one-to-one tutor to join our Mathematics department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who really wants to make a difference to the lives of young people. Our single goal is ‘Students First’ and you will be joining a strong team of professionals working to this sole aim.  

We welcome applications from people who:

• hold qualified teacher status, or are a qualified HE or FE teacher; or 
• are able to demonstrate a track record of effective teaching; or
• are able to demonstrate that you can work with individual pupils to progress their learning in Maths; or
• have subject specific knowledge of Maths

The Academy benefits from being part of the Outwood Family of Schools, which affords opportunities for staff to work and progress across several schools if desired. All staff are guaranteed a minimum of two hours CPD per week and a further comprehensive programme of professional development is provided through our own network of teaching schools. Our Executive Director for Maths leads the Yorkshire and the Humber Maths Hub and there are masses of opportunities for you to get involved in the fantastic projects they run.
