St Wilfrid’s Academy are looking to appoint a One-to-One Science Tutor to join our academy in February 2022 on a casual basis for hours as and when required.  The role will involve delivering tuition to identified students, in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.


The salary is £20 per hour for UQT (Unqualified Teacher Status) and £29 per hour for QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).


St Wilfrid’s Academy is an all-through (KS2-4) alternative provision that provides full and part-time education and support for children and young people who, for a variety of reasons, are unable to access mainstream curriculum education and require a bespoke package.  Our educational offer combines a core curriculum with a range of vocational packages to support students successfully into post-16 pathways. Alongside our academic offer, we also provide a range of therapeutic interventions to aid students with their emotional and mental wellbeing.  If you are interested in working within an inclusive school, supporting the most vulnerable students to reach their full potential, St Wilfrid's offers this opportunity.

The latest Ofsted grading (December 2019) showed the school to be ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding’ Personal Development.
