An opportunity has arisen for a talented and skilled individual with a particular expertise in English Language / English Literature, who will work either one to one or in small groups, to help KS4 students to secure the best qualifications that they are able.
The post-holder will work mainly with Year 11 students approaching their GCSE examinations, to help to consolidate their skills or to support their progress in areas of identified weakness.
The successful candidate will:
- be able to engage positively with young people
- have excellent interpersonal skills
- have the academic ability to support students in preparation for their GCSE examinations
- have subject specific knowledge in English Language / English literature (ideally at KS4)
- be willing and able to provide support in other subjects if required
This post will be particularly suited to those who have a degree of flexibility in their working arrangements.
A degree in an English subject would be advantageous but is not essential.
