Chulmleigh Academy Trust is a family of academy schools, which includes Chulmleigh College, Chulmleigh Primary School, East Worlington Primary School, and Lapford Community Primary School. Our aim is to provide the highest quality education for the children and young people in our care at every stage, with exceptional teaching in a supportive, friendly, and safe environment.

 

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Operations and Compliance Manager to support the Academy Senior Leadership Team. The postholder will take specific responsibility for Facilities Management, Site Maintenance, Catering, Health and Safety and Project Management. The successful candidate will be proactive, practical and an enthusiastic team player able to adapt to the changing needs of the Academy and keen to deliver excellent management services contributing to our continued success.

 

Main responsibilities include:

·       To maximise on income generation to support school development and further enhance the Trust’s reputation.

·       To be responsible for the coordination of Health and Safety and Risk Management in the school and management of any third-party service contracts in line with current legislation and HSE requirements.

·       To support the Executive Headteacher with the coordination of the Trust’s Risk Register.

·       Play a key operational role in the management of service delivery.

·       To work collaboratively with other members of the Senior Leadership Team and the Directors in School Improvement Planning and delivery.

·       Take a lead role on managing community relationships and liaison.

·       To have a strong understanding of the Trust’s governance structure, constitution, procedures, delegations, and key documents and ensure governance is delivered in line with these.

·       To ensure governance is compliant with the relevant legislation and requirements.

·       Overall responsibility for ensuring that the governance of the Trust is in accordance with the Trust’s Master Funding Agreement, Articles of Association and Schemes of Delegation.

·       To serve as Company Secretary

 

We are pleased to offer this contract on a temporary basis pending the return of the current post holder. The role would be perfect for someone who has experience in premises or project management and looking to further develop their career in an educational setting.
