This will provide us with a range of amazing new facilities including 9 classrooms (4 subject specialist), a learning resource unit, sports hall, a number of new offices and a suite of therapy rooms. We are fortunate to be set within walking distance of Farnham town centre and train station.

The Abbey is part of WMAT, a dynamic, forward thinking and innovative Trust. We are currently seven schools - three special schools and four secondaries within the Farnham, Godalming and Haslemere area.

We are looking to appoint an Operations Manager to lead the Business/Administrative function in our Special Needs School.

About the role

The role includes managing all aspects of HR, recruitment and employment processes, estates and health and safety. You will also manage the monthly administrative payroll processes liaising with the central MAT team where appropriate. Additionally, your role will include being the first point of contact for all HR issues working alongside the central MAT team. You will be a key member of the Senior Leadership team.

All aspects of school administration will be delivered by you and your team. The role encompasses leadership of the premises staff, ensuring all health and safety processes are compliant and delivered in line with WMAT expectations to make sure our school is safe for students, staff and visitors.

You will work alongside the central MAT Finance team to ensure all financial processes are followed by colleagues, co-ordinating orders and ensuring efficiencies and that contracts are managed effectively on a daily basis.

We look forward to receiving your application to join our dedicated and passionate team and become part of the exciting development project as we develop and grow within WMAT.
