Job overview

Report: to Operations Director
Role: to manage and coordinate daily school operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient facilities, housing, transportation, and campus services, to include, but not limited to, the following:
  • Coordinate with the Senior Leadership Team on capital improvement and large facilities projects.
  • Oversee facilities maintenance, inspections, and preventive work schedules.
  • Ensure government reports (facilities, vehicles, fire/safety, prefectural) are completed on time.
  • Serve as first responder for emergencies (fire, earthquake, campus housing) and security alarms.
  • Manage on-campus and off-campus housing assignments and address resident needs.
  • Lead typhoon preparation and response procedures.
  • Monitor the operations budget and related contracts.
  • Support and guide operations staff to carry out their duties effectively.
  • Serve as lead of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a safe and healthy campus environment.
Qualifications: 
  • Meet or exceed board mandated qualifications (B2.2.1)
  • Must possess an advanced degree and/or a minimum of 5 years operations management experience.
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and job-relevant systems preferred.
  • Bilingual (Japanese and English) required.
  • Be willing to complete additional duties as assigned.
