Location:                  Millbay Academy, 22 Millbay Road, Millbay, Plymouth PL1 3EG

Salary range:           Grade F – point 22 to 25, £27,041 rising to a maximum of £29,577

 Per annum pro rata

Actual Salary:          £24,987 rising to a maximum of £27,330 per annum

Hours/Contract:     37 hours per week, 41 weeks per annum 

                                    Monday to Friday 08:15 to 16:15

About the role

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Operations Manager with the energy, ideas and tenacity to lead on all our operations across the two schools in our federation. The role includes responsibility for the management and delivery of all non-teaching related services at the schools including office and administrative services and involves working with the Executive Business Manager and the Senior Leadership Team of the School.  The position would suit someone who is highly organised, adaptable and innovative and who is able to multi-task and work accurately and efficiently under pressure in a fast changing environment. This is a great opportunity for an individual with passion to make a difference to young people and families lives.

About the candidate

The successful candidate will have excellent organisation, administrative and management skills and be able to communicate effectively. You will be qualified to degree level or have the equivalent experience.  Duties include: managing all non-teaching related services at the school, including leading and managing a team of administrators, being the key point of contact for all staff, developing, implementing and maintaining new systems and processes, preparing documents, handling correspondence and dealing with sensitive and confidential issues. Training will be available for key duties. We also are looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys a challenge and is adaptable, flexible and self-motivated.
