Job overview

We are looking for a passionate individual to lead, manage and develop the Outdoor Adventure & Education programme at Woldingham. This involves planning and delivering engaging outdoor learning experiences in school grounds including high ropes, zip wires, archery, bush craft, team building and our outdoor classroom, as well as inspiring and training teachers to deliver more regular outdoor learning themselves. A programme of events will be devised for groups to access.

This is a pivotal role at Woldingham and plays a crucial role in embedding the outdoor learning programme within school curriculum as well as for the benefit of the local community through outreach and commercial hire of our facilities.

You will be a skilled facilitator, able to adapt your style to work to meet the needs of the group and their learning outcomes, which includes children and adults. You will have knowledge in how outdoor learning can benefit children and young people and how it supports the different elements of the National Curriculum.

Applicants should have extensive experience of delivering outdoor learning sessions in a variety of different settings and feel confident and knowledgeable enough to train and develop teachers. We would like you to be educated to A level standard and hold at least two formal NGB/Professional qualifications of leading outdoor learning activities. A current first aid qualification and driving licence is essential.
