About the Role:

  • Term 3, 2022 start
  • Full-time, Permanent
  • Assist in the development and delivery of safe, organised and effective Outdoor Education programmes Secondary Years 7-12 Ensure all aspects of work are done to a high standard and high standard of safety in accordance with industry best practice risk management. Lead and co-lead activity sessions, camps and extended camps in the Outdoor Education programme Drive School vehicles and buses with utmost care and consideration (as appropriately licenced) Assist in vising School classes for programme preparation Liaise with School staff to ensure their integral involvement and readiness in the programme Skills covered: Bushwalking; Canoeing and Kayaking on flat water; Sea Kayaking inshore; Abseil and climbing of natural and artificial surfaces/structures; Navigation; High and low ropes; campsite management and more


Selection Criteria:

  • Be suitably qualified with an Education Teaching Degree (qualification must be recognised in Australia)
  • Be registered, or can be registered with QCT or NTTRB
  • Ability to provide current and relevant teaching references from Middle Management/Executive Leadership level (please note referees will not be contacted prior to your express approval, and all applications are treated in complete confidentiality)
  • Current Full Driver’s License for a manual vehicle (must) Driver Authority License for LR, desirable Current Wilderness or Remote Area First Aid Certification Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation with relevant specialisations and/or relevant outdoor leadership and activity skills and experience Certificate IV in Workplace Assessor, desirable Use technology to facilitate work requirements
  • Have the right to work in Australia
