Are you passionate about the power of nature to transform learning? Do you want to make a real difference for young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and associated needs?

The View School is seeking an enthusiastic Outdoor Learning Coordinator to design and lead inclusive outdoor learning experiences for students aged 11–19. From woodland activity days to offsite alternative provision, you’ll create safe, engaging opportunities that build confidence, resilience, and life skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate offsite learning and alternative provision placements, ensuring tailored support for every student.

  • Lead inspiring woodland activity days—think bushcraft, nature art, team-building, and environmental projects.

  • Develop an adapted outdoor curriculum for KS3–KS5, embedding communication, social skills, and cross-curricular links.

  • Manage risk assessments, safeguarding, and compliance to keep every experience safe and positive.

  • Build partnerships with local organisations and provide staff training to enhance outdoor learning strategies.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience delivering or coordinating outdoor learning for students with SEND.

  • Knowledge of ASD, ADHD, and sensory regulation strategies.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

  • Confidence in risk assessment (or willingness to train).

  • Bonus points for Forest School Leader qualification, First Aid, or experience with ASDAN/AQA awards.

Why Join Us?

  • Make a lasting impact on young people’s wellbeing and personal development.

  • Work in a supportive, inclusive environment committed to innovation.

  • Enjoy varied, rewarding days outdoors—no two days are the same!

Safeguarding: This role requires an enhanced DBS check and adherence to safeguarding policies.
