The Outreach & Student Administrator will report to the Administration Manager. They will:

- Work closely with the Outreach team to support them with communications with other schools and external students about Outreach programmes, and with organisation and administration for those programmes.

- Staff the student reception, ensure students are registered twice a day and follow up on absences, answer student queries, support teaching staff in the main school building, keep the student shop stocked, keep the building tidy and be proactive in identifying and reporting any maintenance required. This will primarily be the responsibility of the Outreach & Student Administrator, but they will be supported in this by the Finance & Office Administrator.

The approximate division of time will be as follows:

- Outreach administration: 40%

- Student reception / other administrative support: 60%

Working hours are 40 hours per week, with exact hours to be agreed with the successful applicant to ensure that student reception is staffed between 8.30am 6pm daily, and until 7pm some days.

This post is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys multi-tasking and working across a wide range of functions. The successful applicant should have excellent organisational and time-management skills and the ability to prioritise their workload to ensure that deadlines are met, as well as to work autonomously and take initiative. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential requirements.

About King's College London Mathematics School

King’s College London Mathematics School is a state school for students aged 16-19 with a particular aptitude and enthusiasm for mathematics. It was opened in September 2014 by King’s College London in response to the government’s programme to improve the supply of good mathematicians, engineers, physicists and computer scientists into our best universities, and aims to provide challenging and stimulating teaching by outstanding teachers, especially for students who would otherwise not have access to this quality of teaching. King’s College London Mathematics School’s has 140 students split between year 12 and year 13. There is a selective admissions procedure involving a mathematics aptitude assessment as well as an interview.
