This is a new and exciting role in the Academic Office. You will contribute to the organisation, delivery and evaluation of St Anne’s new sustained intervention programme called ‘Aim for Oxford’, and also support the College’s wider outreach activity. You will work closely with schools, ensuring that the message to potential applicants is that St Anne’s is a place where those who have the talent to thrive in Oxford should definitely consider applying.
One of the largest colleges in the University of Oxford, with around 770 students, St Anne’s is known for being down-to earth, ambitious, outward facing and collaborative. Established in 1879 to enable women from all backgrounds to access an Oxford education, the College is committed to being a diverse and inclusive community that is the home of choice for the brightest and most ambitious from all backgrounds.
You will need to demonstrate a good level of organisational ability and be confident in making decisions and in speaking with school groups and teachers. Furthermore, you will be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Anyone with an interest in widening participation is encouraged to apply. The role could suit a new graduate motivated and keen to pursue a career in outreach, or someone with some direct or transferable current experience. We are seeking applicants who would be keen to take our outreach agenda to the next level so applicants need to be highly motivated and good at working with people. You will need to have a positive and flexible attitude and be able to travel to the North East and to London, and to work some weekends and during the school holidays. The starting salary will reflect previous experience.
