Phoenix is a very successful all age special school meeting the needs of children with language and communication difficulties, severe learning difficulties with autism (aged 3-19 years) in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. We have autism accreditation through the National Autistic Society. We also have an outreach department to support children and young people with autism (aged 3 -19 years) in mainstream settings in Tower Hamlets.
We are looking for a passionate and creative outreach teacher for the Phoenix Outreach Service. The successful candidate will have outstanding teaching, whilst bringing enthusiasm, energy and dynamism to the role. Phoenix currently has a team of 5 Outreach teachers supporting children across primary and secondary schools in Tower Hamlets.
Working as an outreach teacher involves supporting mainstream school staff to include children and young people with autism. Applications are invited from dedicated professionals with excellent communication skills and a positive and proactive approach to supporting children, young people and staff. Experience of delivering training is desirable. The role is challenging yet rewarding and is an exciting opportunity for professional development.
