Job overview

About Us:

The Southover Partnership Outreach Service works with a wide range of mainstream schools requiring support for pupils with SEN statements, normally one to one or in small groups. The schools are in a number of North and North West London boroughs, with both full and part time work available. Most of the work is in a primary setting although we do also offer support in secondary schools.

The post:

We are looking for several experienced teaching assistants to join our team. You would be working alongside the teacher with an individual pupil or with a small group. Ideally you will have experience of working in a classroom setting with pupils with SEN, or in another structured setting such as a holiday or after school club.

About you:

Candidates should have the desire and motivation to meet the challenge of working with children with SEN. If you are passionate about making a real difference to young people and can demonstrate your experience of working with pupils with special educational needs, particularly those with autism and/or challenging behaviour, in a structured setting either within the classroom or in youth work, we would love to hear from you. You should be adaptable and an excellent communicator with a commitment to professional development.

How to Apply:

Please send your cv with a covering email to Elena Panteli Poulli, Senior HR Administrator at: recruitment@southoverpartnership.com . Please make it clear that you are applying for the position of outreach TA. Those selected for interview will be asked to complete a Southover Partnership application form prior to interview.   The Southover Partnership Outreach Service is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share the same commitment. The post is subject to an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and a range of other recruitment checks.   Please note that if you do not hear from us by 7th November, you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, but we thank you for your interest in this post.
