Whitefield Academy Trust is internationally recognised for its expertise in teaching children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs. Both schools have a long history in their community; Whitefield Schools opened in 1903 and Joseph Clarke School celebrates its centenary this year.'

Our Research and Development Centre offers unparalleled potential for continuous professional development and collaborates with both Kingston University and the University of East London – you will have the opportunity to gain a Post Graduate Diploma in Special Education whilst working with us. Middle and senior leaders are supported to complete the National Professional Qualification for Middle/Senior Leadership

Whitefield Academy Trust comprises:   

Whitefield Schools -based in Walthamstow which provides specialist education for pupils with complex needs including communication and interaction difficulties.

Joseph Clarke School -  based nearby in Highams Park and highly regarded for its expertise in visual impairment.   Both Schools attract pupils from across London and surrounding counties and together have more than 425 pupils on roll.     

Our Research and Development Centre provides support, training and resources for both school staff and other professionals.  It also hosts an excellent library and an Outreach Service which supports pupils across 4 Local Authorities.  

Waltham Forest as an area combines the best aspects of vibrant city living with easy access to some beautiful green spaces. It has excellent transport links.
