Good Samaritan Catholic College is seeking a P-12 Learning Leader to support the engagement, learning progress and achievement of students in our College. This is a full time continuing appointment, with an initial three-year appointment as Learning Leader (using the Primary Learning Leader salary scale). A subsequent three-year appointment as Learning Leader will be offered following a successful performance review. The position involves working with teachers and students across primary and secondary classes. It attracts a four unit PLL allowance. As this position requires teaching and planning of Religious Education, applicants must be Catholic. In 2020, the College will offer Prep to Year 4 and Years 7 and 8. The College will be fully P-12 in 2024. The successful applicant will: 1. Demonstrate a collaborative approach to working and planning with teachers, support staff, students, parents and carers. 2. Articulate and demonstrate mastery of the inter-relatedness of the BCE High Yield Strategies that impact upon student achievement. (eg. Review & Response meetings, walkthroughs, feedback, coaching and data interpretation). 3. Mastery of pedagogical practices highlighting the use of the Gradual Release of Responsibility model and short term planning cycles. 4. Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Archdiocesan Religious Education Curriculum, the Australian Curriculum and the BCE model of Pedagogy.
