The British School, Alexandria is a small boutique school, situated in the prime residential district of Alexandria on the North Coast of Egypt. We are a school, in which staff and students work together to achieve greatness in learning. We are currently seeking a P.E. teacher qualified and experienced in teaching girls in key stages 3 to 5 who is also able and willing to teach in the lower key stages.
The P.E department currently comprises 4 teachers and P.E is taught from FS to KS5.
As a P.E. teacher you will be joining a strong, supportive and motivated team of teachers who have built the department to its current strength. P.E. is a popular subject and there are many after school clubs, as well as tournaments and an annual sports day.
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and inspiring practitioner with a real passion for Physical Education.

Minimum Requirements
• Degree from a recognised university
• UK Qualified Teacher Status / PGCE
• At least two years post qualification teaching experience
• Experience of teaching in the British education system either in the UK or in
British international schools
• Satisfactory Police / DBS /IPC checks

We have recently celebrated our 35th Anniversary and continue to be one of the leading schools in Alexandria and the surrounding area. We have close links with the British Embassy - our Patron is Her Britannic Majesty's Ambassador to Egypt. The temperate Mediterranean climate in Alexandria ensures cooler summers and warmer winters than in several other parts of Egypt. In winter (January/February) there are some rainy days with temperatures ranging between 10 and 20°C, summers are renowned for the refreshing sea breeze, with temperatures between 22 and 34°C.
