P/T Spanish Teacher (with French and Latin) (3 days p/w)

Thomas Tallis is a flourishing and popular school situated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. We currently have over 2000 pupils on the school roll with around 700 students in our highly competitive sixth form. We strive for excellence in all that we do underpinned by our vision of education to understand the world and change it for the better.

We wish to appoint a well qualified, motivated and innovative Spanish Teacher to join a well-established, well-resourced and successful faculty. The ability to teach Latin is highly desirable as is the ability to teach French to KS3. This is a 3 days per week, part time post.

The faculty is committed to an innovative and creative curriculum where culture is central to languages teaching enabling students to understand the world and change it for the better.

Pupils in Year 7 learn French and Spanish and in Y8 students choose their preferred language. French and Spanish A-Levels are taught in the target language and there are a variety of enrichment activities to supplement the department’s outstanding teaching. In addition, GCSE Latin is offered to our more able students.

You will be working alongside a team of experienced members of staff in a department with outstanding teaching. 

NQTs are very welcome to apply and will receive a full induction programme with the support and guidance of senior members of staff.

We are looking for someone who:

·        is passionate about Languages, cultures, literature and music with the ability to inspire students

·        can demonstrate excellent teaching and classroom management skills

·        has the ability to build good relationships with all students and adults

·        has a commitment to developing curriculum activities within the Languages Department
