Job overview

Harris Primary Academy Merton is a new Primary Academy for local children aged three to eleven. We opened in September 2014. Our belief is that children thrive when they are consistently happy and safe at school and that through expert teaching and support all pupils can achieve to a high standard.

Harris Primary Academy Merton are looking to appoint a reliable, hardworking and efficient Office Manager and PA to the Principal.

The post holder will be required to support the senior leadership team and to manage the school office staff as well as the premises team to keep the school running smoothly. This is a varied role which includes administration and diary management for the Principal, support for HR processes and files, collation and circulation of information and producing written correspondence.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who is highly organised, flexible,
  • The ability able to work quickly and independently to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and IT skills and a good sense of humour!

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Provide an up to date daily/weekly diary and maintain an overview of approaching deadlines.
  • Support with the preparation of paperwork and presentations for a range of meetings including interviews, performance management, presentations and training sessions.
  • Work with Federation teams including HR, IT and Finance Business Managers as we'll as PA's and Principals across the Federation as appropriate.
  • At all times operating within the schools equal opportunities framework
  • Commitment and contribution to improving standards for pupils within the school as appropriate
  • Contributing to the maintenance of a caring and stimulating environment for pupils

Harris Primary Academy Merton is a primary academy for local children aged three to eleven which opened in September 2014. Although we are a new Academy, we are building on the Harris Federation’s proven track record in the borough: the two Harris Secondary Academies here are happy, successful and highly oversubscribed.

Our belief is that children thrive when they are consistently happy and safe at school and that through expert teaching and support all pupils can achieve to a high standard.

We have around 500 lively young minds at Harris Primary Academy Merton. Our staff support each child to be the best they can.
