Job overview

The successful candidate will be extremely well organised, an exceptional communicator and an experienced administrator, as well as being a self-starter who quickly develops an understanding of the school’s strategic and operational requirements. 

A key part of the role is being proactive – anticipating, forward planning and communicating what is required in good time. As situations arise, there will also be the need to be reactive and deal with dynamic situations in a timely, calm and professional manner.

Good written and verbal communication skills are vital in this pivotal role, as the role holder will be dealing with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. They must have a flexible, methodical approach to work and enjoy multi-tasking in a busy environment.

Responsibilities include:

·        Managing the Assistant Headteacher’s diaries and emails

·        Scheduling, preparing papers and minuting meetings

·        Preparing reports and documents

·        Communicating with internal and external stakeholders

·        To be able to effectively use software to support data analysis reports

·        Forward planning

The role will be highly rewarding for the right candidate who can work seamlessly, both taking instruction and acting under their own initiative, and will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment who wants to make a positive difference on a daily basis.
