Ebor Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust serving children aged 2 to 16. It is our aspiration to develop geographical hubs of schools that share our values and have already made significant strides in achieving this aim.

We now have a vacancy for the new combined role of PA to the Chief Executive and Governance Manager.

Within the role you will provide high level, professional PA and administrative support to the Chief Executive, as well as a secretariat function to all Trustee meetings. Managing the Clerks to Local Governing Bodies, you will provide advice on effective governance as required.

Proactively managing the CEO’s diary, accommodating regular and sometimes complex changes, you will work with all members of the Executive team to proactively arrange regular meetings in schools. Preparing agenda and attending and taking minutes of Trustee meetings, you will also oversee the work of the Governance team, keeping abreast of developments and updating the clerks and Trust accordingly.

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of the governance structure in academies and in an academy trust.   With previous experience as a personal assistant and of working in a school, education or academy trust environment, you will have a knowledge of how to service committees and formal meetings.

Previous experience of providing a clerking service and of minute taking is needed, as is being a competent IT user with excellent communications skills. A team player who is highly organised, you will maintain a professional approach and be able to establish good relationships with colleagues and senior leaders.

The position involves working 37 hours per week during term time (39 weeks of the year). Some evening work is required as the role involves servicing Trustee meetings which are usually held in the evening.
