PA to Head of Primary/Office Manager

APT & C Scale 5   £22,506 - £24,510 pro-rata

35 hours per week term time only

Required ASAP

We are proud to be an award-winning, inclusive and successful school serving an ethnically diverse community.   Our brand new purpose built primary accommodation opened in September 2016 and our new secondary buildings opened in January 2017.  In our primary we currently have a nursery, 2 x reception classes and 2 x Year 1 classes (150 students) and this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of our new Values-led Primary Phase.

We are seeking to appoint a PA/Office Manager who will work closely with the Head of Primary, providing a full secretarial and administrative service, as well as being responsible for the day to day management of the school office when this is fully operational.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a school environment, however this is not essential.  We are seeking a self motivated individual with excellent organisational and skills and who is able to work on their own initiative.  We are looking for a proactive, confident and reliable candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The school is located within easy walking distance of Barking tube and mainline station.

For further information and an application form please see the school website www.eastbury.bardaglea.org.uk.  Completed forms should be returned to the Headteacher’s PA, Karen Dunnell kdunnell@eastbury.bardaglea.org.uk

The closing date for applications is 26 January 2018.  Shortlisting will take place on 29 January 2018  and interviews will be held on Friday 2 February 2018.

Eastbury School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  We expect all staff to share this commitment and to undergo appropriate checks including enhanced DBS checks. Applicants will be required to complete a ‘Disqualification by Association’ Applicant Declaration as part of the safeguarding procedure.
